Difference between microsoft office and open office
The Microsoft office was created in 1990, and is more used nowadays.This program is old but has been updated in many versions. The last was the January 29, 2013 which it was called Office 2013. It has been translated into 89 languages.
Microsoft office has many programs the most common are:
1. Word: is a word processor.
2. Excel: is a spreadsheet.
3. Power point: is a program to develop presentations.
4. Outlook/Entourage: is a personal information administrator.
OpenOffice was created in 2002. Unlike the microsoft office it was translated into more than 110 languages from frebruary of 2010. It has many aplications:
1. Writer. is similar to Microsoft Word, is a word processor too.
2. Calc: is similar to Excel but calc has some characteristics that excel does not have.
3. Impress: is a presentation program similar to Microsoft PowerPoint.
4. Base: is a database program that allows the creation and management of databases and reporting.
5. Draw: is a graphics editor and diagramming tool.
6. Math: is a program to work out mathematical formulas.
